Thursday 25th of August, one would think, a normal day, but every time I turned around today something new happened… New developments in Libya, Steve Job’s resignation, the Film Festival in Istanbul, Irene hurricane, Indian’s strike and fasting against corruption, man excitement over the new soccer season… I don’t actually know if I feel overwhelmed because of the news or due to my full day and my strain but anyway I decided to have a calm night, eat this crayfish salad and work on my photography skills.
So here is the easy crayfish salad I love:
Ingredients: Enough for one happy tummy
- One pack of crayfish (more or less equal to 1 ½ cup)
- 2 cups of cherry tomatoes cut in halves
- 2 TBL of pan-fried pine nuts
- 1 TBL of Paprika
- 1 TBL of virgin olive oil
- 2TBL of vinegar (ideally fruit based such as apple or raspberry)
Mix the Vinegar + Paprika + Oil and add it to the crayfish, tomatoes and pine nuts
For those of you who think that this recipe is too basic you could add asparagus, green beans, sesame seeds, grounded black pepper, mustard and salt of course.
And when I talk about salt I always smile because I like this salad without any. And a very special person use to eat it with me in my kitchen in Paris (It’s the most amazing small kitchen ever) and each time I served it, it was with a beam that I would be told: Please can I have coarse salt…
